The Chinese steel producer XINYU Iron & Steel Co. Ltd., which belongs meanwhile to the BAOWU Group, is now a part of the world's largest steel producer.

At the site in Xinyu (Jiangxi province) a new rolling mill for Special Bar Qualities (SBQ) with a diameter range from 20-90mm and an annual capacity of 800,000 tonnes will be set up. BRAUN has been awarded with the supply of the required cut-off equipment.

The contract is split into two parts, The delivery is divided into two parts, BRAUN Maschinenfabrik GmbH supplies the import equipment such as three abrasive cut off machines TS16F including electrical / automation and hydraulic equipment as well as installation supervision and commissioning, BRAUN Machine Technologies (Beijing) Co. Ltd (the Chinese subsidiary) supplies all the local manufactured peripheral equipment for the material handling. In addition, BRAUN was able to get the order for the complete automation of the linked system.

The BRAUN equipment will be delivered in November 2023. The assembly, commissioning and acceptance is scheduled for the first quarter of 2024.
