CHINA:

BRAUN Maschinenfabrik GmbH has been awarded a contract by the private Chinese steel mill operator AOSEN Special Steel Co. Ltd. to supply equipment for their upcoming Small Bar Mill project.

AOSEN Special Steel, a private Chinese steel producer, is planning to build within the existing plant, a brand-new rolling mill to enhance the processing capabilities of its steel production facility and thereby increase its value-added output.

Located in Xinji City, Hebei Province, this new facility will include a state-of-the-art Small Bar Mill designed for Special Bar Quality (SBQ) products. BRAUN has been entrusted with providing the necessary abrasive cut-off machines for the mill, which will handle steel bars ranging from 20-100 mm in diameter, with an expected annual output of around 600,000 tons.

The delivery will be split into two parts: BRAUN Maschinenfabrik GmbH will supply three units of the cutting-edge TS12FP-N type abrasive cut-off machines, complete with electrical and hydraulic components, as well as offering assembly supervision and commissioning services. Meanwhile, BRAUN Machine Technologies (Beijing) Co. Ltd, the Chinese subsidiary, will furnish all peripheral equipment required for material handling.

The launch of the new TS12FP-N machine type marks a significant milestone, integrating numerous advancements and operational enhancements aimed at streamlining both day-to-day operations and the assembly process. These innovations are the culmination of years of research and development, reaffirming BRAUN's position as a pioneering force in this market segment.

Delivery of the BRAUN equipment is scheduled for September 2024, with assembly, commissioning, and acceptance slated for completion by the end of the same year.
